Part of being healthy is knowing when to take a break

I said I would gain weight last week, and I’m perfectly fine with the extra 1.3 lbs.

After three months of attack, attack, attack, I found myself behind by a few days in the cooking, not really getting enough rest to wake up in the morning to walk and just generally exhausted from the work that goes into this blog.

So I decided to take a step back last week, let things marinate for a minute and come back with a renewed vigor. I’m there — Rested. Walking. Cooking.

I sure as heck enjoyed the few days I did take off. I might have had a few too many cookies, but it’s okay. I needed to step back, enjoy my life for a minute and really take a break.

That being said, it’s time to get back to work.

As for the scale: Today I weigh 235.6 lbs. I weighed 234.3 lbs. last Monday, my 13th week of blogging. That’s a one-week gain of 1.3 lbs. I started this blog weighing 258 lbs. That’s a total loss of  22.4 lbs.
